There are three things you should know about today:
- The Vancouver Canucks are advancing to the Western Final. It is very exciting, but also means I have a lot of yelling in my future. Because no one knows more about hockey than those sitting on the couch at home.
- I went to Sociale tonight for dinner. I love its location (I heart old buildings) but had heard it was very going-out-clubby. I am not very going-out-clubby and much more content to sit at home with an open bottle of Zin and a PVR full of Happy Endings (this is recent – have you watched it? It’s A-mah-zing. Grab your tiny hat and watch it). But while Sociale might have been going-out-clubby at normal going hours, when you show up for the early bird’s delight like me, it is just simply going-out-deliciousness. Get the butter chicken flatbread. Trust me.
- Sociale also introduced me to a new lovely red blend - Chariot “Gypsy” Red 2009. It’s one of those cheap red wines that you can just picture finishing off with a girlfriend on a nice spring night. Just like tonight. So that’s what we did.

Go go!
